Pokemon Creed Review

Pokemon Creed is an online rpg. It is impossible to find out anything from the main screen of Pokemon Creed. you either have to get an account and log in or find some obscure post commenting on the game. One of the good things is that it uses Pokemon from every generation and you even have a choice of any starter Pokemon from every generation. However, unlike some other Pokemon rpg's the starter Pokemon and a nice consistent smooth, dark red background are about the only things that are good about this one.
You start off on the main page with any news from the developers posted there. You have a selection of areas that you can start exploring on a sidebar to the right of the main screen. You can click on one of the maps, the forest for example, and start exploring. However, exploring is a relative term as it takes forever to move more than three steps. To move you have four big arrows on the top right of the screen, while the image of the map you are currently on is in the center left. You are also given the option to use the arrow keys on your  keyboard and I find it much easier, but just as slow. I say it is slow because once you click an arrow it refreshes the page and shows you a small space from where you were standing. The only clue you have that you moved is from the map shifting. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind the arrows as a form of movement, but when it takes five seconds each time to move an indiscernible amount of space, I hope you weren't planning on exploring very far in a short time. Most of the time though, I am left to guess where I am, as there are so many other players that I cannot find myself even when standing on an empty space.
To catch a Pokemon you have to painstakingly roam around the map until you encounter a Pokemon which is not that often. You then have to do two things: choose a pokeball, if you are lucky enough to have one, and click a button that says "catch Pokemon". That is it. No battle, no nothing, and most of the time you fail. I also question the wisdom of being able to catch Staryu in the forest area. I don't know if this is some sort of strange glitch however, that was the first Pokemon I encountered.
Combat is deplorable. You have who you are battle up at the top with a picture of your Pokemon on one side and the enemy's on the other. The name and level of each Pokemon is above the Pokemon with the health bar to the side of that. You have your Pokemon's moves below the Pokemon with an annoying ad below that. Finally below all of that is your backpack and the roster. Now all of this is well and good but the three major things that really frustrate and annoy me are the handy dandy "Restart Battle" button in case things aren't going your way, the fact that you can teach any move to any Pokemon at any time, and finally the fact that none of those moves affect the status at all. There is no poisonpowder or anything else like that. Now, say you do defeat an enemy's Pokemon, it says you are awarded money for defeating that Pokemon however, unless you win you don't get the money and you can't lose because if you lose all your Pokemon  it doesn't navigate you away. So have fun with the restart button. Also, the enemies scale up to match your Pokemon so training is HARD.
Beyond all this, something else I found strange is the fact that you can buy and sell Pokemon on a player auction house and an in-game store. Legendary Pokemon included. I mean seriously "Hey honey, i'm going to the store to pick up some Groudon" "Ok, pick me up a Lugia while your at it". This game said goodbye to realism long ago.
So all in all, saying this game is mediocre is being generous at best. I would not recommend this as a game to play.

However I realize some of you want to know what I'm talking about and will still check out the site so here is the link. Pokemon Creed Website

Hello and Welcome

Hello anyone who happens to stumble across this page. I have created this page to write down reviews on games I feel need one. It might be obscure, or it may simply be that there are just no reviews on it yet, however I still feel the need to write down my thoughts on the game. I will start by reviewing the long yet oddly obscure list of Pokemon rpg's that are out there as I feel that there is little enough information on them.
